Sytelink360™ – Alerts & Performance Monitoring
For your Emissions Control Equipment to be a significant part of your sustainability strategy, you must ensure that it continuously operates at the level of performance it was designed and permitted. Cimarron can provide enhanced alerts and performance data gathering for your Emissions Control Equipment in a combination of value added solutions for your Vapor Recovery Units, Flares, Combustors and Thief Hatches.
DRE-MAX™ - Smart VFD controller for air-assisted flares
This device contains a proprietary algorithm that uses your preprogrammed waste gas BTU values, combined with the gas flow rates measured in real time from one or two flow transmitters, and it automatically adjusts the air from a VFD controlled blower ensuring optimum combustion (Destruction and Removal Efficiency) from your air assisted flare.
From minimum to maximum flow, DRE-Max prevents under-aeration that causes smoke, but it also prevents over-aeration that is the main cause of partial venting of methane to atmosphere.
With a VFD, a flow transmitter, and our DRE-Max™ your compliance problems are over.
ALERT MONITORING
Alert Monitoring: Cellular Gateway and Dashboard System for Emissions Control Equipment
Vapor Recovery Units, Flares, Enclosed Combustors, and Thief Hatches are just a few of the key emissions control items that are required to operate at optimum performance in order to stay compliant with environmental state and federal regulations.
Cimarron’s Alert Monitoring solution is an integrated 4G cellular gateway system that was specifically designed to offer an entry level solution with all the basic capabilities for remotely monitoring systems that have Modbus RTU Master over RS-485 data transmission capability. It is the best alternative to the more expensive SCADA systems.
Custom Dashboards and Alerts Management
Custom dashboards can be created that allow the user to view the status of their assets as individual devices or groups of devices. Assets can be grouped in any number of ways, such as location, function, or business group.
Individual alerts may be placed in more than one group; this allows users with different roles in their company to view only the data and receive alerts that is relevant to them in a way that is most effective for their particular role.
360 PERFORMANCE MONITORING
360 Performance Monitoring – Guaranteed Uptime
Data gathering without proper analysis by subject matter experts will lead to a reactive strategic approach with regards to performance optimization.
Cimarron now provides a full 360 experience by combining real time data gathering with in-house expertise and quick response field service crews to proactively manage the monitored equipment and guarantee a sustainable optimized uptime.
Preventative maintenance is only triggered by real time data and trends that allow for a data driven schedule. For example, lubrication oil in a Vapor Recovery Units is only changed after a set amount of hours in operations, based on hours tracked in real time and preventative maintenance can be called out if unusual data are received.
Troubleshooting can be done remotely in such a timely manner that the field service crews will know exactly what to address when they arrive on site, reducing the billable time spent on location.
NOVENT™ - Smart Thief Hatch Monitoring
Most oil and water Storage Tanks have to be equipped with pressure relief devices called thief hatches. These thief hatches are designed to ensure that tanks are not over pressured. However thief hatches will occasionally pop open and release methane to atmosphere when there is an excess of pressure in the tanks or when the thief hatches manually opened in order to measure the tank liquid levels during truck loading. Because they are usually left unmonitored, thief hatches have been shown to be one of the most common sources of methane leaks on a well site.
Recent surveys indicate that thief hatches are too often left accidentally open. For average tank batteries, a cumulative thief hatch leak duration of 100 hours or more will vent VOCs in excess of 6 tons per year, which is the limitation set by NSPS OOOO/OOOOa, leading to the shutdown of oil production for the remainder of the year, or the operators will have to pay hefty fines.
With NOVENT™, Cimarron has developed a plug-and-play solution made of inclinometers, completely wireless and battery operated, that communicate each thief hatch status in real time to a central module connected to the cloud. That information is then made available to operators through a dashboard displaying alerts as well as cumulative thief hatch leaks duration.
In addition, Cimarron can provide the full 360 PERFORMANCE MONITORING of the thief hatches and have fast response service crews who can address these alert and minimize the time thief hatches are left open, and troubleshoot the reasons why thief hatches will pop open randomly and remediate the problem.
ARC™ - Burner Management System
The ARC™ BMS, is a very reliable and affordable Burner Management System, used on thousands of combustors, heater treaters and flares across the US.
Completely reinventing the BMS concept, the ARC™ is an entry level ignition system, whose capabilities can be increased through firmware upgrades depending on your application (Base, Flare, BMS, Dual). It is the only true Dual BMS on the market that can control independently 2 sets of pilot gas and waste gas.
The ARC™ is designed, manufactured and serviced by Cimarron.
Unleash the potential within, and manage up to 2 burners or combustion devices with one control box.
It is fully compatible with all fired equipment or heater equipment brands
IQR (Identify-Quantify-Rectify)
Using OGI cameras to detects emissions leaks on sites is commonly called LDAR (Leak Detection And Repair program), which works on leaks after the fact.
However, the bigger issue is that emissions control equipment that is undersized or oversized will like lead to improper capture or improper combustion of the emissions, leading to visible smoking or venting methane straight to atmosphere.
At Cimarron, we have a program called IQR that goes one step further than LDAR: we are using OGI cameras and flow sensors on various locations on a site in order to Identify, Quantify and Rectify fugitive emissions. This is a proactive approach that ensures that the emissions control equipment in use is sized properly for the actual composition and flow of waste gas, and to troubleshoot and remedy for improper pipe size, water traps or pressure drops in the line.
IQR is particularly useful when new emissions control equipment is needed on a site, as it helps optimize the size of VRUs, flares or combustors, and therefore reduce the risks of non-compliance while minimizing the costs of the equipment.
